Dr. Brown has been creating beautiful smiles in the Orange Park and Fleming Island areas for over 40 years. As a highly skilled orthodontist, he and his team are committed to providing exceptional orthodontic care to patients of all ages. His passion for orthodontics and commitment to staying at the forefront of the latest advancements in the field, ensures that his patients always leave happier than they came.

Dr. Brown received his dental degree from Chapel Hill, NC, where he was Valedictorian and received several academic awards. He is also involved in organized dentistry on the State and National levels and has held various titles, including Delegate to the American Dental Association (ADA), Chairman of the ADA’s Council on Dental Practice, Liaison to the National Association of Dental Laboratories for the ADA, and President of the Florida Dental Association (FDA) and Expert Witness for the state of Florida.

Dr. Brown’s passion for dentistry extends beyond his practice. He is deeply involved in the dental community, holding various leadership positions and advocating for the improvement of the industry as a whole. In his free time, he enjoys giving back to the community by volunteering at Florida Mission of Mercy dental clinics. He also loves spending time with his family…especially his grandchildren!

Meet Dr. Trang

Dr. Trang has been passionate about orthodontics since high school when she first discovered her love for the field while working as a dental assistant in an orthodontic office. This early hands-on experience solidified her desire to pursue a career in orthodontics. She graduated from Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 2009 with the highest honors, summa cum laude. She spent three years practicing as a general dentist before following her true calling. In 2014, she completed her orthodontic residency at Jacksonville University. Dedicated to her profession, she went on to become a board-certified orthodontist.

Dr. Trang finds immense joy in building relationships with her patients and guiding them through life-changing smile transformations.

Outside of work, Dr. Trang is devoted to her loving husband and two wonderful children. In her free time, she loves reading, walking on the beach, and finding peace in nature.

One of our proudest initiatives is our involvement with the Florida Mission of Mercy Dental Clinic. Our lead dentist, Dr. Brown, organizes the events and oversees the provision of free dental care to over 3,000 patients across the state. Additionally, we support local school sponsorships and participate in volunteer work to promote oral health education and awareness.

What are retainers?

Retainers are custom-made devices that are worn after orthodontic treatment to help keep your teeth in their new position. There are several types of retainers, including removable and fixed options.

There are three main types of retainers: removable, fixed, and clear. Removable retainers are made of plastic and can be easily removed for eating and brushing. Fixed retainers are a thin wire that is bonded to the back of your teeth. Clear retainers are similar to Invisalign aligners and are custom-made to fit your teeth.

How does teeth whitening work?

Teeth whitening treatments use a bleaching agent to remove stains and discoloration from the teeth. This can be done through in-office treatments or with take-home kits that you can use on your own time.
